ONESELF., a new record label based in Barcelona, presents its first reference by Russian techno artist Maksim Dark. This first EP grows from the roots that inspired ONESELF. founders, dj and producer Alex Molina (The Deals) and graphic designer Toni Rubio: top drawer dark techno enhanced with a minimalist sensibility. This two elements, darkness and minimalism, are Maksim Dark best kept secrets, only revealed on his best occasions.

Power Stab and Hard Nuts, ONESELF’s first two tracks, are as astonishing as the Russian Ural mountains. It's icy landscape surrounded Maksim Dark as a kid and it is clear that his recent productions are as fresh and superb as his homeland. The Russian artist has one of the earliest and most prolific trajectories -more than 100 tracks and remixes-. Few artists know what’s necessary to reach this massive creativity like him: a deep focus to develop the energy of the bass and not looking back until reaching the summit.

Power Stab remixes come from the Italian duo The Dolphins and the reinterpretation made by Johnny Kaos, based in Berlin. Two proposals that increase the rhythm promptness, capable to descend without trembling to the depths of any techno club.

North American dj and producer Schubert completes ONESELF. first expedition. Known for his creative hyperactivity, managing two labels, djing and having his own live performance, he has played around the world and contributes to Maksim Dark’s EP by remixing Hard Nuts and reinforcing its two strongest points: a short breathless percussion and skin crawling vocals that makes us smile nervously. Because enjoying oneself is not necessarily harmless and reaching rhythm’s summit is not an effort free experience.
